2008 WILDFIRE SEASON
High profile wildfires plagued California all year, but 2008 was a slow season for smokejumpers. Initial attack assignments and fire jumps were weeks apart most of fire season. I did manage to jump my 150th wildfire in 13 seasons. There were many bright spots in 2008, and here are some highlights.
